Georgia State offers South Paulding DE Ayers

After receiving a scholarship offer from Georgia State, South Paulding defensive end Latoris Ayers received a quick history lesson from his coach, Tim Glanton, on the history of Panthers coach Bill Curry.

“He didn’t know much about coach Curry,” Glanton said. “I told him a little about the history of coach Curry, and what he’s done at Georgia Tech and Alabama.

“He’s real excited about the opportunity to play close to home so his family can come watch him play.”

The 6-foot-2, 265-pound Ayers is also considering offers from Alabama State, Eastern Kentucky and Savannah State.

“And to be honest, he’s got a few schools like Louisville, Mississippi State, Western Michigan, Troy and UAB kind of waiting to see his ACT and SEC scores.

“He’s waiting to see how all of that pans out.”
