Georgia Tech recruiting Hillgrove junior QB Days

Hillgrove junior quarterback Synjyn Days appears to be on the rise on Georgia Tech’s recruiting board.

And Tech coaches are sure to be watching as the 6-foot-1, 195-pound Days leads the Powder Springs-based program into round two of the playoffs Friday evening.

“Georgia Tech is just interested in him, at this point,” Hillgrove coach Phillip Ironside said. “He’s also receiving interest from Kansas State, Alabama and Navy. And Duke has sent a lot of stuff to him.”

Days possesses the physical tools Tech likes in a triple option quarterback.

“He’s an option quarterback and a big, strong kid that can run,” Ironside said. “He’s one of those guys that’s got his head on right.

“As far as where he is on Georgia Tech’s board, I’m not sure. But I know they are seriously recruiting him.”

I heard that Synjyyn Days was offered by Oklahoma State. Mason of Lassiter also has an offer from Iowa, and Rip Rowen is close to an offer.
