Georgia Tech recruiting Westside-Macon linebacker Burnett
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Georgia Tech is interested in Westside-Macon linebacker Julian Burnett, who has attended two of the Jackets’ home games this season. A scholarship offer from Tech could be forthcoming for the 5-foot-10, 220-pound Burnett.
“It would be a big deal,” said Burnett, who has offers from N.C. State, Ole Miss, South Carolina UAB and Wake Forest. “[Tech coaches] said I’m the first in line to get the next offer.”
Even if the Jackets pull the trigger with Burnett, don’t expect a quick decision.
“I want to be able to take my visits and analyze these schools and see where I fit in,” he said.
Westside-Macon coach Robert Davis seems puzzled over why the hard-hitting Burnett hasn’t received more offers, including one from Georgia.
“I don’t understand it,” Davis said. “The guy can play running back or linebacker.”
“I’m just glad we got him, that’s all I can say.”

Known Julian since middle school. He would not fit in over in Athens. He’s a great kid and has too much discipline to be a Bulldog. he’s a winner. Been compared to Rennie Curran. Ferocious.
