Florida Gators to offer two Centennial players

Two players from Centennial, offensive lineman David Yankey and defensive end Euclid Cummings, are expected to get offers from No. 3 Florida on Saturday.

Urban Meyer just likes to meet the player in person before they officially offer, but they’ve already let us know what is going to happen,” Centennial coach Jeff Measor said.

The 6-5, 250-pound Yankey is one of the state’s top juniors, with early offers from Duke and South Carolina. The 6-3, 230-pound Cummings is a senior deciding between Georgia Tech and North Carolina, among others.

“Euclid was surprised and excited to hear about Florida,” Measor said. “Florida recently decided that it needed more depth along the defensive front, and Euclid is now one of their targets.”
