Columbia DB Jarod Houston feels good about Georgia Southern offer

Jarod Houston is a busy guy. Playing three sports and maintaining a 3.0 grade point average will do that.
The Columbia senior just hopes his work and versatility will help get him a football scholarship. The 5-foot-9, 170 pounder is getting interest from East Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia Southern while projecting him as a cornerback or slotback.
“I get calls from all three but I would say by best chance (to get an offer) is from Georgia Southern. I sent all of my academic stuff to them and just waiting for a call back about that,” said Houston, who is a point guard for Columbia’s basketball team and a shortstop-second baseman for the Eagles’ baseball team.
Houston covers the 40-yard dash in better than 4.5 seconds and had six interceptions and returned two punts for touchdowns this season.
