Heritage TE Justin Jones ready to jump on Alabama offer

Vanderbilt offered Heritage tight end Justin Jones after his unofficial visit to Nashville last weekend, Heritage assistant coach Chris Pack said.
“They liked the way he got off the ball and the separation he creates with his arms,” Pack said. “He had a good time up there.”
Pack said the 6-foot-7, 230-pound member of the AJC’s The Georgia 150 did not commit but he hopes to schedule an official visit to Vanderbilt in the next few weeks.
Jones plays tight end and defensive end for the Patriots, but Pack said Vanderbilt is looking to put him at offensive tackle.
He recently backed away from his commitment to Kentucky and is currently entertaining offers from Akron, ECU, South Carolina and UAB. Jones is also talking with Alabama’s coaches, who have him on the Crimson Tide’s recruiting board.
“He really likes Carolina,” Pack said. “His dream would be to go to Alabama, but I’m not sure if they are going to offer. If they do, he would jump on it.”
