Ridgeland’s Michael Bowman happy to be with No. 1 Alabama
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Ridgeland’s Michael Bowman, arguably the state’s top wide receiver, said he is proud to be committed to No. 1 Alabama.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Bowman has maintained a low profile in football recruiting circles since committing to Alabama in early September. He decided on the Crimson Tide over waiting for an offer from UGA, while also considering scholarships from LSU and Oregon.
“Everything worked out really well for me, I’m blessed,” Bowman said. “There’s not much to recruiting anymore, I just go to Alabama games and keep in touch with the coaches over the phone.”
Bowman will return to the spotlight on Friday when he matches up against Carver-Atlanta’s Darren Myles, who is one of the nation’s most heavily-recruited safeties. Ridgeland plays Carver in the opening round of the Class AAA playoffs.

If you are football player and go to Georgia, you can expect not to graduate. If you got to Alabama, you have a decent chance if you apply yourself. M.R. could care less about graduation. Check the record.

As a VT fan, I wish we could start stealing some recruits from the state of Georgia on a regular basis.
We should take notice, and try and emulate what Nick Saban is doing.

David:
BS.
Check the last four years’ academic progress records. Georgia tops the SEC.
Sorry to burst your unsubstantiated bubble.

This guys must have really wanted to play for the dawgs being we read yet again another comment of “how happy” he is with his decision.
If you got to keep telling yourself your happy, maybe one day it will become true.
Good luck to you at Bama, but could we please see updates on players that are in the mix and not those that have been passed over.

If this young man learned from the mistakes of some of his family, he will be a great player for the Tide.
I live 10 miles from his School, and know he is the real deal.
Good luck at Bama Michael, Im a season ticket holder at UGA, and hope you keep your character the way it is now, and not follow any bad footsteps. Good Luck to you.

Michael, you’ve made a great choice. Tuscaloosa is closer to your hometown than Athens. You’ll love the friendlisness of the school and town. We’re glad to have you at Alabama.
Roll Tide!
