SEC, ACC schools calling Lassiter OL Wentz

Two weeks after de-committing from Stanford, Lassiter offensive lineman Camden Wentz says he’s received phone calls from coaches at Arkansas, California, Florida State, North Carolina and Oregon.

“One of the coaches from Arkansas was at our school last week,” said Wentz, an AJC’s The Georgia 150 choice. “He mentioned something about me taking an official visit there.”

If the Razorbacks offer, they will have a powerful lobbyist in their court.

“My dad is an Arkansas alum,” Wentz said. “He actually was a swimmer there.”

Wentz, who withdrew his commitment to Stanford late last month due to a potential admissions issue, hasn’t given up all hope of enrolling at the prestigious west coast school.

“I still plan on taking an official visit to Stanford in January,” he said.

ArKansas would be a strange fit — their head coach is a quitter, not sure how he excuses his behavior to recruits & their families. But then again, it is not like he lied about having a Master’s degree — strange how those things just materialize on a resume all by themselves! Doctor Professor Coach!

Quitter at the ALL-STAR level. Coach Petino also left town under the cover of darkness and did not address his team. Can you now say coward.

Camden, you have many great choices. I wish you good luck no matter where you attend.

Must be bitter Falcon fans. You’d quit a job to if you were unhappy. He realizes he made a mistake by leaving Louisville, he did the right thing by not waiting. Did the Atlanta organization, a disfunctional one, quit on Dan Reeves? Firing your coach before the season is over….sure sounds like it. If you took a job and didnt realize your boss is an idiot, star player is a dog killer, and you have a bunch of whiny idiots: Deangelo Hall leading the bunch, you’d quit to.

Get your facts straight.

Petrino wanted to address the team, but Arthur Blank would not allow him to.
