DEL.ICIO.USBoise State offers North Gwinnett’s Tamburo

Michael Tamburo had an off night on Friday, but his Saturday was a whole lot better. Boise State offered Tamburo a scholarship, but the North Gwinnett quarterback is taking a few days to mull it over after returning late Sunday night.
“He had a great visit,” North Gwinnett coach Bob Sphire said. “He’ll meet with his family [Monday night] and discuss it another day or two and kind of digest the whole thing. And that’s the way it should be. Let it sink in a couple of days.”
Sphire said Tamburo is calm and even-tempered, so Sphire expects his player to make that type of decision.
Boise State, 9-0, is ranked No. 9 in the BCS poll. Tamburo also has offers from Air Force, Tulsa, Louisiana-Monroe, Ohio, Bowling Green and others.

Good luck Michael, Boise is probably your best bet to get on the big stage you deserve. You will have more of a chance to play in BCS games there than the others that have offered. At the very worst maybe you will get to play Tech on their annual pilgrimage out to Boise for their bowl game. Good luck!

Another Atlanta football player offered by Boise State…. currently at Boise State is Tommy Smith coming from North Atlanta High last year, if Tamburo goes there it will keep the pipeline of Georgia strong with Boise State

Mikey deserves this offer, All he’s done at North is turn around a program, and turned it into a state power. Have fun running the hook and ladder and statue of liberty. You still suck at Ncaa 09 though
