How It Went: Perry’s Farms visits South Carolina

Perry guard Johnnie Farms watched South Carolina defeat Arkansas at Williams Brice Stadium on Saturday. It was the 6-foot-3, 290-pound Farms’ first visit to Columbia since committing to the Gamecocks earlier this fall.

“Everything felt good. It was a nice visit,” said Farms, who also attended the Georgia-South Carolina game in September. “There wasn’t really anything different [on Saturday] compared to my last visit there. The fans and everyone treated me good, as always.”

On the campus, which is located just south of downtown: “The best thing about the campus is the frat houses,” Farms said.

Farms, a member of the AJC’s The Georgia 150, is eager for his freshman season at South Carolina to arrive.

“I’m ready to go over there and play now,” he said.
