How It Went: North Springs DL Lang hopes Ga. Southern visit results in offer

North Springs defensive end Richard Lang hand delivered his highlights tapes to Georgia Southern coaches on Saturday. He hopes the film footage will convince the Eagles’ coaching staff to offer him a scholarship.
“Yeah, they’re definitely looking at me,” the 6-foot-3, 220-pound Lang said. “I’m on their recruiting board. They want to see more film and they’ll get back to me.”
Lang and teammate Robert Starks spent Saturday in Statesboro and saw Georgia Southern drop a 27-17 decision to Samford. Lang said the highlight of his visit was the festive atmosphere during the game.
“I like the stadium a lot,” said Lang, who has an offer from Army. “It has a hill and you can watch the kids playing football there during the game. And there were just a bunch of students and fans who were really into the game.
“If they do offer me, they’d probably go to the top of my list and be number one. I liked everything about the school during my visit.”
