Griffin RB Sheldon Hancock plays in same offense as Georgia Tech
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Categories
After dislocating his left elbow in a pre-season scrimmage against Marist and missing the first six weeks of the season, Griffin running back Sheldon Hancock wasn’t on the radar of too many colleges.
That has all changed as Hancock, fresh off a 195-yard, three-touchdown effort against Alcovy that helped the Bears reach the state playoffs, is starting to get interest from North Carolina State, South Carolina State and Georgia Tech. Hancock said he’d love to sign with the Yellow Jackets.
“I’d like to go to Tech because they run the same offense as we do,” Hancock said. “(Right now) it’s just small talk; nothing big.”
Also on Hancock’s wish list: South Florida, Central Florida and Ball State.

Is he an “A”, or a “B” Back? I thought Demond Dennis accepted the “last” A-Back scholarship on the table.

I believe he is a B-back (or fullback at GHS). We have another kid here that would fit in with Tech, Travis Lee (Spalding High) Big kid, hard worker, good blocker and pass receiver with good hands and speed. Real good student. Hope they take a look at him.
