DEL.ICIO.USTennessee AD calls Milton FB Toney Williams

Tennessee athletics director Mike Hamilton called to check on Milton fullback Toney Williams on Tuesday.
Williams has committed to Tennessee, which had coach Phil Fulmer announce his resignation on Monday.
“[Hamilton] wanted Toney to know that he still has his football scholarship at Tennessee, if he still wants it,” Milton coach Scott Walker said.
“He said that he hoped Toney would stay committed to Tennessee and still enroll in January.”
What has Williams decided? Nothing yet, according to Walker. “Nothing has changed right now, Toney is still committed to Tennessee. We’re waiting to hear back from a couple of colleges that called, see who is interested in Toney, and see how things settle at Tennessee.”
Walker said he’d either called or heard over the last two days from Georgia, Georgia Tech, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky and North Carolina State, regarding Williams.
He has rushed for 1,875 yards and 23 touchdowns for Milton (7-2, 6-2), which is in the playoffs for the first time since 1999.
