North Clayton defensive duo have colleges calling

North Clayton clinched the Region 4-AAAA title Thursday with a shutout win over Jonesboro. Defensive lineman Drew Thompson and Albert Carlisle were a big reason why and the duo has garnered interest from several schools, according to Eagles coach Rodney Hackney.

The College of Charleston and Richmond called about Thompson, a 6-0, 205-pounder. And Carlisle (5-11, 220) has interest from Tennessee Tech.

Neither player has received an offer.

“It’s just a matter of getting the right fit,” Hackney said.
