Banneker’s Alfred Moreland, Emmanuel Lartey and Milton Patterson returned home today from a weekend trip to Oxford, Miss., highlighted by watching Ole Miss topple SEC foe Auburn on Saturday.
“It was loud and everybody was going crazy,” said Moreland, whose father drove the trio to Ole Miss. “There was a point in the game when we thought Auburn could come back.
“But it was a good game. And as far as the visit, everything was good.”
They enjoyed a view of the stadium from field level before setting into the recruiting section for kickoff.
“We got to go on the sideline before the game,” Moreland said. “We didn’t get to talk to [Ole Miss] coach [Houston] Nutt. He was doing a press conference after the game.”
Moreland and Lartey and have scholarship offers from Ole Miss. Neither committed during the visit.
A 5-foot-6, 170-pound running back, Moreland also has an offer from Air Force.
Lartey is a 5-foot-11, 170-pound defensive back, who has nearly 10 total offers.
The 5-foot-11, 230-pound Patterson has offers from Akron, South Carolina State and Savannah State.
