Georgia Tech gets “good one” with Fitzgerald DB Jemea Thomas
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Defensive back Jemea Thomas will Fitzgerald’s first player to sign with Georgia Tech or Georgia since Robby Pruitt began coaching at the school in 2000.
Thomas has committed to Tech. Said Pruitt, “Yes, he’s the first one, and he’s a good one. He can play anywhere, and I’m not just saying that. I’ve got another kid in the NFL, I’m telling you, [Thomas] is a player.”
Thomas impressed Tech’s coaches with how he performed against Early County safety Shawn Williams, who has committed to UGA.
“[Williams] is a good player, and Jemea played mostly on defense that game because of a hip injury,” Pruitt said. “Jemea really had a good game against Early County. He had some big hits in that game.”

Jemea Thomas is not only an excellent athlete but also a very solid student and individual. GT has done a good job of landing an exceptional talent on the playing field and also in the classroom.
