Walton defensive end Paulsen looking to commit to Oklahoma State

Walton defensive end David Paulsen has been here before. He just hopes it goes better this time around.
Paulsen was scheduled to take an official visit to Oklahoma State for the win against Iowa State. If it goes well, he said Friday that he intends to commit to head coach Mike Gundy in person.
“Being able to talk to the coaches in person and see if they’re being honest is big,” Paulsen said. “Oklahoma State has probably recruited me harder than any other school, but you don’t really know until you’re there face to face. I sort of had that problem with Stanford in the spring. You just have to be careful.”
Paulsen was equally as excited about Stanford earlier this year but didn’t feel comfortable enough to commit in the end. He said he hopes everything about the Cowboys is the real deal.
“Trust is a big thing for me,” Paulsen said. “They’ve [Oklahoma State] earned that so far. It’s exciting to be recruited by a top-10 team, to be a part of a program on the rise. Being able to get some great playing time. It seems like somewhere I’d love to be.”
The Walton senior is a member of the AJC’s The Georgia 150. He has taken official visits to Tulane and Miami (Ohio). Paulsen will spend the weekend in Stillwater with his parents.
