Westlake LB Dearco Nolan satisfied with college evaluations

Westlake linebacker/defensive end Dearco Nolan likes the comparisons he’s heard from football observers.
“A lot of people say I play like DeMarcus Ware,” said Nolan, a 6-foot-3, 235-pounder who likes to put his hand on the ground and rush the quarterback. Nolan had nine sacks in his first seven games. “They really love my speed and my strength.”
Nolan showed his speed last summer at the Auburn camp, during which he ran the 40 in 4.48 seconds, the second-fasted DE time at the camp.
He also has personal bests of 315 pounds in the bench press and 515 in the squat. “I love the weightroom,” he said.
Nolan, who has offers from Ole Miss, North Carolina, Iowa State, West Virginia, Miami-Ohio and Middle Tennessee, says he can play either end or outside linebacker in college.
Maybe even strong safety. “I used to play safety,” he said. “I still think I can get jiggy with that.”
