Norcross DT Hollingshed gains interest from Georgia Tech, South Carolina

Norcross senior defensive tackle Wesley Hollingshed is making a late push to get some attention.

Hollingshed on Saturday will take an unofficial visit to South Carolina for its game against Tennessee. The Gamecocks, Georgia Tech and Ohio are three schools that have expressed in the 6-1, 270-pounder.

“He’s starting to get a lot of attention,” Norcross coach Keith Maloof said.

Hollingshed, who transferred from Riverdale after last season, has been a force in the middle of the Blue Devils’ defense, which has three consecutive shutouts.

“He’s playing hard. He plays defensive line the way it supposed to be played,” Maloof said. “He’s the attacker, he’s not waiting for people to move on him. He gets after it pretty good.”

The coach sent out game film to several schools last week.

“As people get his tapes, there will be a lot more interest as the year goes on,” Maloof said.
