Georgia Tech travels to see two Greenbrier seniors

Georgia Tech linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary stopped by Greenbrier High in Evans earlier this week to meet seniors Dylan Turner and T.D. Davis.
The 6-foot-3, 255-pound Turner is a lineman who can play on either side of the ball.
“Dylan is being recruited pretty good,” Greenbrier coach Brian Smith said. “He’s got an offer from Air Force and expects to get an offer from Navy later this week. And Tennessee has expressed a little interest in him.”
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Davis, a receiver who is also being recruited as a tight end, is a key member of Greenbrier’s baseball team.
“We’re just now getting T.D.’s tape out,” Smith said. “He’s having a big year. He’s been getting some interest from schools like Coastal Carolina.
“But he’s also one of the best hitters on the baseball team. He’s a very talented baseball player. But he might be leaning a little toward football. He’ll have some decisions to make.”
Both players plan to attend the Jackets’ home game against Florida State on Saturday.
“They’ll be going to the game to check things out and shake hands with the coaches,” Smith said. “I think they’re on [Tech’s] recruiting board, but I’m just not sure how high.
“They’re in the mix.”
