How It Went: Carver’s Dennis given assignment during Georgia Tech visit
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Categories
Carver running back Demond Dennis was given a designated task prior to Saturday’s Georgia Tech-Virginia game at Grant Field.
“When I got there, [Tech assistant] coach [Buzz] Preston was asking me to watch the game and how they utilize the A-backs,” said Dennis, a member of the AJC’s The Georgia Top 150.
Though the game was not a sellout, Dennis was impressed with the fan support.
“The people there were really into the game,” he said. “Those are the type of fans I want to play for.”
Dennis continues to wait and see if the Jackets will offer him.
“I think they’re close to offering,” he said. “They said they really like me in their offense.”

Has uga gone a month in the last year without someone getting arrested?
uga will continue to recruit criminals and St. Mark will try to reform them to no avail. But that is what the fans want.
At least the classless ones that come over to Tech boards to gloat and talk trash.
TO HELL WITH GEORGIA!

So the AJC posts this message
Note: Any inappropriate comments will not be tolerated, along with offensive “screen names.” Your posts are identified by the AJC with logging your IP address, not your screen name or email address. We encourage your comments and opinions, and only request that you use good judgment.”
And the second post listed is from a person who identifies himself/herself as yellow jacket are peter eaters, and the AJC does not strike the post.
So just how vulgar does it need to be to be banned not only this time but from ever posting again.
This kind of sounds like UGA’s coach who acts like a christian, god fearing man in front of the camera and then encourages thuggish behavior from his players if it helps him accomplish his goals. Maybe the AJC sports personnel learned this knid of ethics in the UGA Journalism school, or in their freshman indoctrination at UGA or whatever football factory they attended. The AJC was and always will be a mouth piece for UGA. I wonder what it will take for the AJC to actually do its duty to keep these blogs readable by people of all ages. I welcome a response from the AJC/UGA editor in charge of this blog.

Charles: Thanks for your post. We’re doing the best we can, and hope to have a much better “watchdog” system in place soon. Our No. 1 concern is “inappropriate comments” toward specific high school prospects.

Michael Carvell,
Thanks for your response, and for removing the blog of that moron who posted as yellow jackets are peter eaters. However, as a father of 3 boys 15 to 22 years old, who are all big time sports fans, and college football fans in particular and who love reading the recruiting blogs and Tech and UGA blogs, the AJC has got to police these things better or put a warning on your site. I am in favor of free speech, but I think all of your bloggers comments should be screened before they are published. If bloggers know that inapproprite comments will not get published, they will stop, as they are only interested in seeing their posts be published like they are some kind of celebrity. If you all cannot get this done, I will continue to make an issue of this here and with the FCC if necessary. Feel free to contact me via my home e-mail if you need to.

You GT supporters with your attitudes are something else. Mark Richt coddles ‘thugs’ does he? That’s your statement T? I suppose a young man who is arrested for underage drinking is, in your opinion, a ‘thug’? Does that only apply if they are a Georgia football player, or would it apply to any minor arrested for underage consumption? Think about it while I bring you up to date. Of the Georgia players arrested over the past year, all were misdemeanor charges, a number of which were later dropped. Contrast that with GT which chose to play a Federally indicted player, Reuben Houston, charged in a national drug deal. A choice made by GT’s Administration. Coach Richt sits them out for a DUI and GT plays them with a pending felony charge, seems our punishment is pretty severe compared to yours. Then there’s the player charged with rape, and an assistant coach who was charged with DUI and drug possession while driving on the GT campus. Want to define “thug” again? Maybe you need to begin by understanding the difference between a ‘misdemeanor’ and a ‘felony’. Get back to us, will you?

Ah, UGA fans bringing up Reuben Houston again…Gailey suspended him until a FEDERAL JUDGE said we couldn’t penalize him. Then we have Joe Ham and Jerrard Tarrant, and how do we deal with those issues? We fire Joe Ham from his coaching job and suspend Tarrant immediately until the charges against him are resolved. That’s really being lenient on those guys…but I would guess UGA fans don’t care what the facts actually are.
