How It Went: UGA commit Love drives 14 hours roundtrip to watch Bulldogs

The seven-hour drive to Glen Allen, Va., from Athens was made a bit easier today for Georgia commit Jordan Love of Deep Run High, who watched the Dogs defeat SEC rival Tennessee 26-14 Saturday night at Sanford Stadium.

It was a total of 14 hours in the car for Love, who was accompanied by his mother, stepfather and two teammates on the trip.

“[The visit] went really well,” said Love. “It was crazy. I have never been around anything like that before.”

Love, the 29th-best cornerback in the nation according to Scout.com, didn’t get to mingle with other recruits. He did, however, catch up with two Georgia coaches following the game.

“I got to speak with [running backs] coach [Tony] Ball and [defensive coordinator] coach [Willie] Martinez before we left,” said Love, who committed to Georgia in July.

Love’s next visit to Athens will likely occur following the season.

“I think it will be sometime in December,” he said.
