Florida State, Arkansas inquire about Henry County QB Drew Little

Florida State and Arkansas have inquired about Henry County quarterback Drew Little.

The 6-foot-5, 245-pound Little attended Florida State’s prospect camp last summer. The Seminoles want some senior film of Little and invited him to some games.

Arkansas also wants some game tapes to finish an evaluation of Little, who is a classic drop-back passer. The Razorbacks have really gotten serious about Little in recent days, insisting that he attends one of the team’s games.

“I’ve talked to FSU before, but Arkansas was a nice surprise,” Little said. “They have a great SEC program, and I feel like [Bobby Petrino] will turn things around quickly.”

Little has offers from Boston College and Georgia State. His coach thinks more scholarship papers are on the way.

“Personally, I think Drew is one of the best passers in the state, and that some other opportunities will open up for him before it’s over with,” Henry County coach Mike Rozier said.

Little is scheduled to take an official visit to Boston College on Oct. 18.

Play for Bobby Petrino? How long will he be at Arkansas? Jimbo Fisher as his coach makes a lot more sense - his future is beginning at FSU - and with the FSU defense, the offense always has breathing room in case of freshman errors.

Petrino is building a great foundation at Arkansas and doesn’t figure to be leaving anytime soon. How can you seriously see that playing out given all the flak the media has put on him regarding the Falcons?

Petrino is at an SEC school with great facilities, a great college town and rabid fans. He took a pay CUT moving back into college as Spurrier and Saban did before him so clearly that’s not the deciding factor. Where exactly would he go?

Does Jimbo Fisher have a history of putting QBs in a position to light up the scoreboard? I think not.
