How It Went: Miller Grove WR Stephen Hill impressed with Georgia Tech
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Miller Grove’s Stephen Hill attended Saturday’s Duke-Georgia Tech game at Bobby Dodd Stadium, just a few days after receiving a scholarship offer from the Jackets.
“It was a nice visit. I really did like it,” said Hill, Scout.com’s 34th-best receiver in the country and a member of the AJC’s The Georgia Top 150. “I had a chance to meet the players after the game.”
Hill and his father also spoke with Tech coach Paul Johnson during the visit.
Hill said Johnson never pressured him into making a commitment to the Jackets. Much of their conversation focused on academics.
“He’s a real cool, laid back dude who wants me to do whatever I feel,” he said. “He really wants me to graduate [from Tech]. That’s the big thing I like about him.”
Tech made a very favorable impression on Hill. His top five has now swelled to a top six.
“Yeah, they actually did [gain ground],” he said. “They came into my top five, which already included Central Florida, who is at the top, Georgia, Tennessee, Boston College and Mississippi.”
He has offers from each of his favorites, with the exception of Georgia and Tennessee.

Stephen, would love to have you at Tech. Can a wide receiver get any action in this offense — you saw Mr. Thomas do his thing. But as Coach told you, good luck regardless of where you decide to go.

Mr. Hill, I’m glad you enjoyed your visit. It was nice to see Be Be have a career day at wide receiver, I bet. One thing about Mr. Thomas. He embraced his new role in this new offense. Coaches told him that he would get his turn. Would you agree that he took full advantage of “His Turn” ?
Man did he shine. I don’t know the low down on you Mr. Hill {The stats and stuff}. But I’m guessing that you are probably bigger then Be Be and just as fast or faster. I’m sure you have the hands and can do the schoolwork, or else the coach would not have come calling. You would certainly make a better blocker and some days you will get your turn.
Just something to think about. But where ever you go, take advantage of your opportunity. Because there are literally thousands that are not going with you to the next level.
Good Luck !

Wassup man. I am an african american male who graduated in 07. I was in your situation 5 years ago, so I hope you read this. If you go to Tech, it will be the best decision you ever made. Not only will you get a good education, but you will be TWO miles away from Spelman College, Clark Atlanta University where the ration is 41 women to 1man. And the women are beautiful. Not to mention, the average football carrer lasts about ten years. Thata another 60 plus years that you wont be an athlete. Therefore, you wont to have a good education. Also, there are a million and one things to do downtown. If you get tired of clubs, then you cango to AUC step shows and neo-soul spots. And jazz clubs. So if you go to Tech, enjoy yourself and value yourself, and value your education!

GT GRAD- What kind of education did you receive? Did you skip the English courses? Mr. Hill: Come to Boston College! We could use you in our offense.

CPJ is going about his approach to recruiting in a way that should really appeal to kids nowadays. No pressure, here is what we have at Tech, here is your opportunity at Tech, but first think about your total education/playing experience. We want you, you decide. Very straightforward and truthfull. Gotta like that if you are a football player.

So many kids commit to GA that many of them don’t even have much of a chance to play. It’s crazy! Same thing with SoCal, it’s like all kids in the entire California want to play for them. What a waste of talent. QB Cox is now a total waste as a result. If he is with Tech, he might be a national shining star now contrasting to his no playing time with UGA.

Son, we would love to have you at Georgia Tech for football, but you education is important. Glad to have you if you decide, but a Georgia Tech degree………………. is priceless. Better than Master Card! I should know. “Class of 87,” Go Jackets!!

Haha… Look at all these fools drooling over one of UCF’s commitments…. As soon as he gets down here to our campus, he will stick with his choice (UCF!)… The ONLY school that might have any chance is if UGA offers him. And if he’s so good, why haven’t they done that yet??? Book it: Nov 2, when Hill get down here to Orlando, he will know why he choose our school over everyone else!
