Baldwin linebacker Corico Hawkins will attend the Georgia Tech-Clemson game next Saturday.
Hawkins, an AJC The Georgia 150 selectee, committed to Clemson on Aug. 8.
“They say it’s the most exciting 25 seconds in college football,” Hawkins said, referring to Clemson’s tradition of having the players rub “Howard’s Rock” and run down the hill before each home game. “I’m really looking forward to that experience [as a Clemson player].”
Hawkins said despite his commitment to Clemson, he is being recruited by Georgia Tech, Florida, South Carolina and N.C. State.
“It’s nice of Georgia Tech to offer, but I’ll be there to support Clemson,” he said.
Hawkins will attend the game with his parents and Baldwin coach Jesse Hicks.

So, who do you think this kid’s coach will be next year? I hope he likes the new staff!

If Coach Johnson wants him he must be good. But,I can’t imagine rubbing Howard’s rock as the most exciting 25 secs in football.
But the first 25 secs between the hedges in Athens after defeating the dawgs really feels great. I am quite sure that it trumps the rock.
