Georgia Tech recruit Chris Crenshaw finished flirting with South Carolina

Jefferson County defensive end Chris Crenshaw made eight tackles and sacked the quarterback once during the Warriors’ 14-12 victory over Swainsboro on Friday.
His effort came in front of Georgia Tech recruiting coordinator Giff Smith.
“He had asked me [earlier] which game I wanted him to come to,” said Crenshaw, who committed to the Jackets in June. “We had a chance to talk some before the game.”
Crenshaw’s commitment was called into question last month when he told GoGamecocks.com that he was interested in South Carolina.
But as he has done for the past three weeks, Crenshaw says he’s sticking with the Jackets.
“I still feel good about [the commitment to Tech],” said Crenshaw, whose next scheduled trip to Bobby Dodd Stadium is for the Jackets’ Thursday Nov. 20 contest against Miami.
Crenshaw, who is listed as the 83rd-best defensive end in the nation by Scout.com, is a member of the AJC’s The Georgia Top 150.

Congrats on your decision, Chris. You will enjoy much success in football at Georgia Tech and in life with a degree from Tech.
As a side note, did anyone notice that the DawgLovers at the AJC had a poll on the online sports page Saturday asking who would win if UGA and Georgia Tech played today? The percentages were very close, about 55 to 45, when I saw it and placed my vote. So, the DawgLovers then moved it to the UGA page. It has been there the last two days. I was yesterday what the percentages were and I did not see the poll on the main sports page. I wondered if they moved it to another location, so I looked on various pages and finally found it on the UGA page. So, do you think there is a little bias at the AJC (in case you had any doubt)?

Young man I hope you made a choice based on your family, your goals, and your education. I like that you picked TECH. Best of Knowledge and Choices in the Future. See you “ON the FLATS” soon. Make sure you have “THEM” in tight check because Coach Paul will not accept excuses.

Chris, sounds like you have a plan. Stick to it and you will have a great career and education at Tech. Another plus is that when Tech recruits it really goes after good ‘D’ players. All the hype is just not on the offensive side of the ball.
