How It Went: Chamblee’s Norman greeted by festive atmosphere in Nashville

Vanderbilt commit and Chamblee running back Warren Norman had a hunch that the Commodores were going to upset Auburn in Music City on Saturday.
“I actually thought they could do it,” said Norman, who, along with his parents and brother, attended Vandy’s victory over the Tigers. “I knew it would be a really good game.
“Both teams have good defenses.”
After arriving in Nashville around 3 p.m., Norman, an AJC’s The Georgia Top 150 selection, quickly realized he was about to witness something very special.
“The atmosphere made it feel like a bowl game,” Norman said. “It was great.
“If it wasn’t for the [sign] telling people not to run on the field, I think the whole stadium would have run out there.”
Norman believes Saturday’s victory will have a long-term impact for Vanderbilt.
“The program is heading in the right direction,” he said. “Beating Auburn on national television will help recruiting.”
