Georgia Tech offers Miller Grove WR Stephen Hill

Miller Grove wide receiver Stephen Hill was walking between classes today when his coach said there was a phone call waiting for him.

It was Georgia Tech assistant Brian Jean-Mary on the other line, who offered a scholarship from the Yellow Jackets. Said Hill: “He said they had watched the Tucker film, saw me do a lot of good things, and that they would love to have me at Georgia Tech.”

The 6-foot-5, 190-pound Hill, who is one of the state’s hottest prospects, said Tech was the first college he ever visited, taking in Junior Day last spring. “I’ve always followed them, it’s exciting to be offered by your hometown college,” he said.

Hill said he will return to Tech on Saturday to make an unofficial visit for the Duke game.

Boston College and Ole Miss offered Hill last week, and Alabama assistant Lance Thompson watched his game on Friday. The Crimson Tide, Georgia and Tennessee may be close to offering Hill, who made an early commitment to Central Florida and has scheduled an official visit with the Knights for Nov. 1.

Against then-No. 1 Tucker last month, Hill had a 99-yard kickoff return and 67-yard punt return for touchdowns.

Stephen, Good luck! It looks like you have a decision coming soon. CPJ and staff are making believers out of Tech fans again. Would love to see you be a part of it!

we would love to have you at GT, we heard you are a good blocker. Its doesnt matter if you can catch or run with our offense. Heck we dont even throw the ball in practice, our recievers run offensive line drills. We need you to block. Thats the quickest way to the NFL. Block, block, block.

leave the reciever gloves at home, you will need offensive lineman gloves with all the blocking you will be doing. GT doesnt even throw the ball in practice, the receivers go through offensive lineman drills. block, block, block, block.

We actually would love to have you at Tech, so you can turn “goldandblue” into “blackandblue”. You see, when passes are thrown in PJ offense, you actually get a lot of attention. Come to Tech for a great education, a hometown school, and to play for a program centered around the team idea. And to kick some Jerry Rice butt.

Stephen: Tech averages about 90 yrs passing a game. Look at the bright side…you would only have to catch 2 or 3 balls a game to be the leading receiver. And, you could really improve your blocking ability.

Look at this bright side…you would have a degree that means something and pays well and not be an idiot like Jamal!

There are a lot more pass plays called than we know and there is always room for a special talent. Coach Paul Johnson is a solid winner and will utilize his talent better than anyone else.

Go Jackets!!

We would love to have you at Tech. We spread the ball out, pass for 200-300 yrds a game, and you would have a great opportunity to catch 8-10 balls a game.

The truth of the matter is is doesn’t matter how much you pass, it is how much you win. Coach Johnson is going to run circles around everyone in this part of the country. The bit#h nation knows this and are running that crap eatter in fear. Great time to be a Jacket, the future is definately bright. I love hearing the bullpups wimper. It fits them nicely. Oh yeah, how about that National Championship UGA blah ha hahaha

Coach Johnson hasn’t proven squat until he beats UGA, wins the ACC, and actually wins a BCS Bowl game. Until then he is just a coach that has beaten 5 teams with winning records in 6+ years. If he can’t do that he is just a retarded looking, loud talking, Chan Gailey clone. Tech is Tech and always will be Tech. And by the way chaddy poo, the kid can go to an SEC school and win in the big arena, catch a lot of passes, and one day collect that big fat NFL pay check. All of that is off the table at Tech. As for UGA chaddy, it’s been woulda shoulda coulda for how many years now. It’ll be the same again in 08. Good luck winning the above in the coming years with all CPJ’s 1/2/NR recruits. Should be down right hilarius when that reality hits you ignorant, delusional techmites right between the eyes. I bet you guys will get downright nasty about it too. And while we’re at it. Try going to a game. Your half empty stadim is an embarrassment to your team and the whole damn state.

Stephen, you will love Tech. You can smoke all the dope you want and can’t even get suspended until you test positive for the 3rd time. Just make sure you only sell those little bitty bags to your teammates and resist the urge to go big. When you get caught dealing the big bags and get your name in the paper they are forced to do something they really don’t want to do. Happy tokin Stephen!

LMAO! ROFL! That is the best example of techmite logic ever posted on this blog. Enjoy catching all those passes that never leave the QB’s hand Stephen.

gatech92, next time get some assistance from some kind of electronic thinking device. It works better than your brain. You just illustrated beyond any doubt why tech grads are considered the most educated functional illiterates on the face of this earth. Counting all those phantom passes I bet tech throws the ball 40 times this week. LMAO!!! That was classic gatech92! Priceless!

I rarely feel compelled to respond to the various idiots from SEC schools who post on this, and other Tech-oriented blogs.

However, RTG, you have moved into my pantheon of complete idiots with your statement “All of that is off the table at Tech”.

Hmmm. I seem to recall that the ACC in general has had more players drafted into the NFL at higher draft placings than any other conference in the last few years.

I also remember a recent player named Calvin who placed rather well in the draft, and who seems to be making pretty good money.

Michael Johnson looks like he might go in the top 5 this year, and several other players will go as well.

Hmmm. Was the brain damage you apparently are suffering from self inflicted - from smacking your forehead every time someone proved you are an idiot?

Or is it genetic? Was/is your momma or daddy this way? Call them and check…oh, wait, they probably don’t have a phone. Better just walk over to the trailer and check with them “live and in person”.

Where is the “ignore” button on this blog?

Stephen go to Tech for the education. In just 4 years I learned to count all the way to 3. And I could probably have made it to 4 if they had allowed me to use my fingers.

Uh GT75. News flash moron. Stephen Hill plays wide reciever dumbazz. And Calvin Johnson didn’t play in CPJ’s offense did he. Too bad your reading comprehension skills are so substandard. Maybe if the guy had said it with something like 2+2 you could get it. You just bolstered the case that most of you Tech grads are functionally incompetent. If you are tech grads at all. Some of you are really way to dumb to pull off that charade. But if Stephen Hill wants to come to Tech and play defensive end he might should consider. LMAO!
