Florida prospects treated like celebrities during UGA visit
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Highly-touted high school teammates Aaron Murray and Orson Charles of Tampa, Fla., were treated like rock stars during their visit to Georgia for the Alabama game last Saturday.
“It was wild and crazy at Georgia,” Charles said. “We were just two high school kids walking around campus on our own and people kept yelling out names. And it wasn’t like five people, but 20 or more.
“They kept asking for autographs and to have pictures taken with us. And they kept saying ‘Orson, come to Georgia so Aaron can be your quarterback in college, too.’
“It was surprising, because I didn’t think anybody in Georgia even knew me. We had a lot of fun with it.”
Murray is ranked as the nation’s No. 3 pro-style quarterback by Rivals and picked the Bulldogs over 53 scholarship offers. Charles is rated as the country’s No. 2 tight end and favors Miami over Florida, Florida State and Georgia.
The two arrived at Georgia around noon last Saturday to look around before meeting up with other prospects at Georgia’s athletic offices around 4 p.m.

FIRST
I sure hope someone has shared with Orson the fact that Georgia feeds TE’s to the NFL on a regular basis. I don’t even need to run off the list!

What??? Ben Watson, Leonard Pope and Martrez Millner hardly qualify as good TE’s in the NFL. Watson has been plagued with injuries his entire career. (Servicable NFL TE) Pope was just a huge guy with no speed and so far for Arizona has been a bust. Millner what can I say he sucks he dropped a lot of balls for UGAy and was a waist of a draft pick for the Falcons. Orson if I were you I would choose the “U” they have produced some great TE’s over the years in Jeremy Shockey & Kellen Winslow Jr. Greg Olsen is another guy who could potentially be a good one but only time will tell. Don’t let these bias dawg fans try to tell you lies if you want to make it to the NFL you should choose Miami.

Yeah, the “U” produced a couple of TEs when they had a team — of course now since they don’t have a team Orson would be wise to follow the QB who made him who he is!!!

GSU, be for real. Jermaine Wiggins, Randy McMichael, Leonard Pope, Ben Watson. Matrez Milner. It’s funny how this guy tried to find something negative about each player. LOL, as if STARTING in the NFL doesn’t stand for anything. It’s VERY hard to make it to the NFL, even harder to be a starter. You are a HUGE HUGE hater, you wanna say Pope is just a huge guy with no speed? There are 32 teams in the NFL, if you are good enough to be starting for one of those teams, that says enough. All of the UGA TE’s that I mentioned STARTED in the NFL except Milner. That is very very impressive for one position coming from one school. If you don’t respect that, you don’t deserve any credibility.

Yeah, UGA definitely puts out good TE’s…the fact is that they are in the NFL. They are still getting paid and just to make it is a big deal. Being good is great and all, but making it out of college is really what is the big deal.
Miami has put out good TE’s also though.
Id go to UGA over Miami for football now though

GSUGrad, are you proud that you graduated from Southern or State? When did that become something you go around advertising?
