Will UGA offer Miller Grove WR Stephen Hill this weekend?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Miller Grove wide receiver Stephen Hill has turned in the state’s hottest prospect over the last week.
Hill, who committed early to Central Florida, was offered by Boston College and Ole Miss within the last three days. Alabama assistant Lance Thompson spent Friday afternoon at Miller Grove and was scheduled to watch Hill play later this evening. Tennessee is also coming to the DeKalb school, perhaps as early as next week, to discuss Hill.
And just before Miller Grove coach Jasper Jewell left his office on Friday evening, he was contacted by Auburn, which promptly requested Hill’s presence at Saturday’s game against LSU.
However, Hill already had plans: He is making an unofficial visit to Georgia for the Alabama game. The Bulldogs yet to offer, but may be reconsidering their position with the new-found interest in Hill.
Jewell said he was contacted by Georgia recruiting coordinator Rodney Garner earlier in the week. “[Garner] just wanted to see how everything was going, and to make sure that Stephen was still coming to the game.”
What did Garner say about an offer? “He didn’t say anything about an offer, just that he was excited about seeing Stephen again on Saturday.”
However, the stakes have risen dramatically since that conversation, and the longer Georgia waits to make a decision on Hill, the more the Bulldogs risk having other national powerhouses becoming involved.
One popular theory is that Georgia will determine its stance with Hill after this weekend’s official visit of Marlon Brown of Memphis, who is ranked as the nation’s No. 9 wide receiver by Rivals. This is the first of Brown’s five official visits, and he has told reporters he plans to take all five before making a decision. Brown has denied rumors he is leaning toward Tennessee.
The 6-foot-5, 190-pound Hill had a kickoff return of 99 yards and punt return of 65 yards for a pair of touchdowns in last week’s loss to Tucker, ranked No. 1 in Class AAAA.
Let’s throw this question to the floor: Should Georgia go ahead and offer Hill? Do you feel like Georgia has a little more time to evaluate the situation? Or do you think another big-time school could sway Hill while the Bulldogs continue an evaluation?

That’s not for the fans to decide. The coaches know exactlty what they are doing.

I think Georgia should offer Hill a full scholarship and allow him to play football and run track like Cedric Goodman has done. He will definately bring up their receiver corps and track team.
And he is a beast on the basketball court!

I think that UGA should offer Stephen and should have done so, a year ago. If anyone looks in stephen, I doubt seriously that UGA has anyone on their team more than a hair faster than Hill. I have known him since he was 6. He won the USA nationals in his age group at 10u and I believe at 12u when he was focusing more on track. This kid is the real deal and it pains me to say that with him and AJ Green lined up that AJ will undoubtably be the slower one. That’s a combo that will be very hard to stop two 6-4 plus wrs with speed.

I think the coaches should base a potential offer on how many fans show up in black.
And Hill should decide where he wants to play if the coach dresses in black or not to a press conference.
That, to me, explains alot about a program’s self-esteem.

Who is Cedric Goodman. I know Demiko Goodman, is Cedric his brother? All these couch coaches. CMR and staff will offer if they need to offer. If not, then there is a reason. I dont tell them how to do their job and they sure couldnt tell me how to do mine.

To GTfan: I concur with you about Hill. He was the real deal on the track as I have videotaped him on numerous occasions as a track and field fan.
To achieve his track exploits, the level of commitment plus talent proves he is a genuine keeper.
Most track athletes that I have encountered maintain excellent grades.
As for the coaches knowing what they’re doing: You better hope Hill doesn’t land at another SEC school.
By the way, college football doesn’t revolve around Georgia.
