Sprayberry tailback receiving interest, waiting on first offer

Sprayberry tailback David Carter has received plenty of interest from a variety of SEC schools. Right now, that’s all it is.
Carter is waiting on his first scholarship offer, but there is little doubt one should come soon. Carter rushed for 1,000 yards in each of his first three seasons for the Yellow Jackets. He looks forward to the chance to prove himself on another stage.
“I think I’ve got the vision and size you need to be a good running back in college,” Carter said. “I just need someone to give me that chance. I think it will come.”
Carter just returned from a visit to Furman and liked what it had to offer. Vanderbilt has been in regular contact with Carter, and he visited South Carolina during the Gamecocks’ spring game.
Air Force, Miami (Ohio), Coastal Carolina and Western Carolina have all been in contact with the Sprayberry senior.

David Carter would be a great asset to any college football team. He has the combination of size, vision, speed and power to play running back at the next level. He’s the Emmitt Smith type. Above all he has great character and is an excellent student. From what I’ve seen and heard he is an exceptional dual sport athlete who plays baseball equally as well. He may not have received the accolades and attention but whoever gives this kid the chance to play for them will be in for a pleasant surprise. SEC and ACC schools should be knocking at his door.
