Maryland withdraws offer to Charlton County’s Ricky Hart

Maryland has rescinded its scholarship offer to Charlton County offensive lineman Ricky Hart, who had committed to the Terrapins.

Charlton County coach Rick McWhorter said Maryland had concerns about Hart meeting college entrance requirements. “We were worried about this happening,” McWhorter said. “[However] Maryland said they’d love to see him go to a prep school next year.”

The 6-foot-3, 310-pound Hart is listed “questionable” for Friday’s game against Appling County with a strained left shoulder.
