Kell’s Anthony has sights on Auburn, Georgia

It takes about a minute for Kell receiver Marlon Anthony to name the list of schools that have given him scholarship offers. But there are two he cares about that aren’t on that list.

Anthony, who is a member of the AJC’s The Georgia 150, is a game-changer who could lend his services to Mississippi State, Louisville, Arkansas, Ole Miss or Indiana. He’d like to hear from Auburn or Georgia.

“I think he’s got his sights set on either Auburn or Georgia,” Kell coach Derek Cook said. “He’s definitely an SEC wide receiver. It’s still a question of where he’ll end up.”

Anthony has not picked his favorites. He likes Sylvester Croom and Mississippi State, but also prefers the offensive style of Arkansas. There is one hitch for the Razorbacks, though.

“I don’t know if I’d get along with [Bobby] Petrino,” Anthony said. “They’re a good school, though. I’m just keeping my options open right now.”

Anthony, it is not about you getting along with CRP. It is the other way around. From what most of us have observed, CRP does not put alot of effort into trying to get along with his players. Don’t think you will see many Georgia athletes going to Arkansas as long as he is there. He has fouled the waters around here. If I were you I would see if your parents could get a call into Mr Blank or Mr McKay of the Falcons for their opinion. You should get an honest answer from them.

This is hilarious “call into Mr Blank or Mr McKay of the Failcons oh I meant Falcons for their opinion. You should get an honest answer from them.”

When, in his reign of the Falcons owner, has “Mr. Blank” ever been honest? No matter where you’re from, Atlanta, Miami, Athens, Columbia, Dallas, LA, Nashville or New York, most people (including high school recruits) can see that Blank is a scheming, manipulative, incompetent egotistical a*. It’s obvious that he has ran the Falcon organization into the ground. It’s a shame because the man had really created a legacy, but like many, can’t realize it’s time to hang it up. I don’t get why the folks of Atlanta are so fooled by your superstars. Vick= Glorified Thug. Blank= Glorified Thug. I’ve got a few players I pull for in your organization and I hope that one day someone can buy the old man out and rebuild. I don’t know I think if a coach felt like he actually had control over his team and could make decisions one might stick around. Anyone that blames Petrino for leaving is a fool. The method may have not been ideal but when your players are so busy supporting a felon during a televised game that they can’t focus on winning, there’s a problem, and it ain’t coaching. Hope this kid is smart enough to realize that of his current offers the one to Arkansas is the best by far. Even if Petrino won’t kiss his a*.
