Another SEC team interested in Miller Grove’s Gilstrap

Nearly two weeks after a track visit to South Carolina for the Georgia football game, another SEC program is expressing strong interest in Miller Grove defensive back Kenneth Gilstrap.

“I’m planning on taking a visit to Kentucky later this year,” said Gilstrap, an AJC’s The Georgia Top 150 choice who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.31 seconds.

“Kentucky has offered me in track. They want to make it a football scholarship.”

Gilstrap, who has a scholarship offer to run track for South Carolina, has football offers from Middle Tennessee State, Ohio and UAB.

“Right now, I’m just waiting to see what’s going to happen with Kentucky. They would probably be my leader if they offer me to play football.”
