How It Went: Will Tech offer Eastside QB Wray?

Winning big at home is a sure way to make a favorable impression on recruits.

Just ask Eastside quarterback Justin Wray, who watched from the recruiting section as Georgia Tech dismantled Mississippi State 38-7 on Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium.

“It was great,” said Wray, an AJC’s The Georgia Top 150 selection who attended the game with a couple of family members. “I loved how explosive Tech’s offense was and how their defense was fast and strong.

“It was a great game.”

Wray, who nearly committed to Central Florida during the spring, has guided the Eagles to a 3-0 start by completing 24 of 40 passes for 305 yards and two touchdowns. He’s rushed for 214 yards and four touchdowns on 30 carries.

His athleticism has captured Tech’s attention.

The only thing missing is a scholarship offer from the Jackets.

“I’m not sure [if they will offer], but I definitely hope so,” he said.

Tech currently has a commitment from quarterback Jordan Luallen of Greenwood, Ind.

I am encouraged and I have thoroughly enjoyed reading about so many highly regarded student athletes being excited about attending GT!

The future is definitely very BRIGHT for GT Football!!

Good luck to Justin wherever he decides to attend college…….I hope he gets to attend GT and help us win many games.

I post the same general comment, but it is true I would like you to come to TECH, but YOU need to make the best choice for YOU and your future. YOU are the only person that looks in the mirror to shave the face your mom loves and YOU have to respect. Choose the school that will help you grow as a MAN and get you a FUTURE if Football doesn’t work out. Not to pick on a UGA PLAYER but #47 D. Pollack had a life changing injury and he is getting past the NFL with his smarts and growth as a MAN from good mentoring. God bless, good health, and best of luck young man.

gt fan I used my GT DEGREE to race AMA superbikes and I wrecked at Road Atlanta in 89 and broke my back and neck in 3 places. I can walk THANK GOD but because I had my degree I run my own business now. Pollack is doing a job and providing for his family while making maybe more than you. Tell me how that is IRRELIVANT? I hate picking on another TECH fan but I think the best part of you rolled down your mother’s leg to the sheets.

Chatthills—I admire your class and candor. We need some more fans like you at GT as well as UGA. Have a great day!
