North Cobb’s Lott not a ‘lock’ for UGA
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

North Cobb defensive tackle Derrick Lott said if Georgia offers later this season, it is no certainty that he will commit to the Bulldogs.
Lott said Georgia promised an offer if improves his grades enough to meet college entrance requirements. Lott won over the Bulldogs with his performance at last summer’s prospect camp.
“If Georgia offered, it would be equal to the other schools that have offered,” Lott said. “I don’t really have a top two or top five. I’m open until I make my commitment.”
Lott, however, may have more interest in the Bulldogs that he is letting on. He attended Georgia’s season-opener against Georgia Southern, and has plans to return to Athens for other games.
The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Lott already has offers from South Carolina, Louisville, Michigan State, Central Florida, and Ole Miss.

Looks like a lot of kids who need to improve their grades don’t consider us a “lock”. Big deal. Move on to the next one.

It’s simple: Study hard, improve grades, get scholarship offer from UGA, then win SEC Championship. Life is good.

Sounds to me like this kid already have a primadonna attitude. We don’t need him even if he is good. If he is not motivated to get his grade together now. e will not be able to keep up at UGA. See youand enjoy life with the “OLD BALL COACH” at South Carolina.

If his grades aren’t there UGA won’t bother. I remember reading about another kid a few weeks ago that had the same problem. Great athlete, not so great student. That’s why that kid is going to Alabama…they don’t mind. Hope he gets his academic situation in order and becomes a dawg but with so few scholarships to offer in 09’ it better happen quick.
