Road Trip: Gainesville receiver to visit Auburn

Gainesville junior receiver Tailer Jones will be among the recruits attending Saturday’s SEC West showdown between LSU and Auburn at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Jones, who is still waiting on his first scholarship offer, said it would be a smooth transition for him to become acclimated to Auburn’s spread offense.

“They run the same offense we do at Gainesville, so it’d be easy,” he said.

Jones, who will attend the game with one of his teammates, admitted that he’s curious about both programs.

“I’ll be looking at both teams,” he said.

Should Auburn offer him on Saturday, they will be an immediate favorite to land a commitment from one of Georgia’s top underclassmen.

“They would definitely be one of my top five schools that I would consider,” he said.
