Road Trip: From Covington to Bobby Dodd Stadium for Eastside’s Wray

Eastside quarterback Justin Wray will get a first-hand look of Georgia Tech’s new triple option offense on Saturday when the Jackets host Mississippi State.

“I’m going to the game with my mom and stepfather,” said Wray, a member of the AJC’s The Georgia Top 150. “I just want to see the school for myself.

“I want to see how they play the game and get a feel for the coaching staff.”

Wray, who is hopeful that the Jackets will offer him, had a few anxious moments over his passes for Saturday’s game.

“We called and they said all the seats [in the recruiting section] were full,” said Wray, who has scholarship offers from Central Florida and Presbyterian.

“But the coaches really wanted me to come to the game, so we worked it out.”

I didn’t know Tech was looking at Justin. I’m from C-town, myself. Congratulations, Justin! I think it would be an honor to play for CPJ and his staff if they offer. Good luck, regardless!
