Road Trip: UCF recruit headed back to UGA

Miller Grove’s Stephen Hill, who is committed to Central Florida, plans another unofficial visit to Georgia for next week’s game against Alabama. He talked on the phone again with Georgia recruiting coordinator Rodney Garner.
“Coach Garner said [the staff] wants to see me again and talk some more,” Hill said. “He also said they were coming to one of my games to scout me.”
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Hill had never heard from Georgia until a few weeks ago, when Garner called “out of the blue,” seeking permission to recruit him. A few days later, Hill attended Georgia-Central Michigan and spoke with coach Mark Richt.
“[Richt] said for me to just be positive about my college choice, and that they [UGA] wouldn’t mind having me,” said Hill, who added Georgia has not offered.
Hill, the defending Class AAAA state champion in the long jump, committed to Central Florida over North Carolina, Mississippi State and Marshall. He is one of DeKalb’s leading receivers with nine catches for 240 yards and four touchdowns in three games.

MC, Hill is 6-4 maybe 6-5, with dynamic speed and can definitly play in the SEC. I know wherever he lands, he will be playing as a freshman.
An idea for the AJC.. All of the top 100 recruits in the state should be able to upload highlight video’s of each player..

Mr. Hill remember, NO SCHOOL is serious until they make an offer. Remember they received your highlight video the same time as the schools who hae already offered. What are they waiting on? If they don’t make an offer the next time you visit then don’t waste any more time with them.

I think if you committed to a school - you should stay committed to the school that committed to you.

Hill, why would you go to a low-level mid-major who has only beaten TWO real teams in the history of their program when you have a chance to go to the premier school in the state of Georgia?
Besides, O’Leary might run you to death if you go to UCF. Be smart and be a Dawg!

Wow “UCF IS GARBAGE”, making a joke about a player’s death? If I were Coach Richt I certainly wouldn’t want your classless remarks to be used to help me recruit. Get a life.

Doubt he is UGA material as that was classless, probably USF scum. UCF is a solid program. They send alot of players to the NFL.

Coach Richt said he “wouldn’t mind having him”… UCF WANTS HIM… Some kids just don’t know any better… Oh well!

So Hill is looking at a school that had ZERO interest in him before and “wouldn’t mind” having him on their team now. Of course, this is is contrast to the team that was ALL OVER him to begin the process, has a great up and coming program, has committed their scholarship offer to him, etc. UCF sends WR’s to the NFL. Brandon Marshall and Mike Walker will be very successful WR’s at that level.
If Hill ends up going to UGA, Coach Richt probably “wouldn’t mind” sitting him on the bench for 2 or 3 years too. GOL plays freshmen often, and Hill would no doubt find his way into the lineup VERY early.
