How It Went: Perry’s Farms watches Georgia edge South Carolina

After meeting a couple of South Carolina’s assistant coaches on the field prior to kickoff on Saturday, Perry guard Johnnie Farms settled into the recruiting section at Williams-Brice Stadium and saw Georgia defeat the Gamecocks 14-7.

“The trip went good,” said Farms, an AJC’s The Georgia Top 150 selection. “That was my first time going to a game there.

“It was kind of boring at certain points in the first quarter, but the game got real good. And it was hot over there.”

Farms, who didn’t get to greet South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier on Saturday, said the Gamecocks remain one of the teams he’s considering.

“They’re still the same,” said Farms, rated the sixth-best guard in the nation by Scout.com. “They were already high on my list.”

He plans to be at Jordan-Hare Stadium on Sept. 20 for the SEC West clash between Auburn and LSU. Farms denied rumors that he is leaning toward Auburn.

He has no interest in UGA, so don’t kiss his a*! He’s been an Sideburn U commit since the summer — Tubbyvile has this one mesmerized! Maybe it is all the fake plastic trees, or the prop replica of Athens that got him. No way to know what goes through these kids minds. Oh well, maybe they’ll turn him into an average athlete like they did with Blackmon. Tubbyvile has a way of underachieving!
