DEL.ICIO.USAlabama fans getting to know Jonesboro’s McKeller

Jonesboro lineman Darius McKeller visited Alabama last weekend and watched the Crimson Tide’s victory against Tulane.
He left impressed, although parts of the experience were strange.
“It was the first time I’ve been in a situation where a lot of people I don’t know were calling my name,” said McKeller, a member of the AJC The Georgia 150 list who has committed to ‘Bama. “It was a little weird.”
But he said the trip was good. He met with Alabama coaches and several of the other recruits.
McKeller is scheduled to take the ACT Saturday and has no visits planned this weekend, although he also said he hopes to attend all of Alabama’s home games.

Impressed with a victory over Tulane??? Wow!! Way to set the bar real high!
Aren’t you supposed to beat Tulane? I mean I was happy with our victory over C.Mich, but expected it — actually, I was a little disappointed, really. I want shutouts! I guess Richt is holding back for SCARcocks, and the rest of the SEC.
Imagine the buttwhipping UTenn is going o get in Athens this year — we owe FatPhil so much. Those Black jerseys are going to look sharp! Rotten crotch Tennessee, Rotten Crotch Tennessee!

I never quite understood why AJC would allow people to leave comments after sports articles, particularly HIGH SCHOOL recruiting, but never allow us to comment on real issues. Maybe it’s set up to incite, ‘flame’ and cause negative banter back and forth amongst fans of different schools. It’s so disappointing that many of us fall prey to this lunacy. Not me, not today. So, here’s my comment. Best of luck and congratulations to all the high school athletes. Whether it’s Clemson, UGA, Georgia Tech, Auburn or Alabama, they are all great schools. They are just kids, for pete’s sake. Be supportive and keep the mean-spirited stuff off the message boards. AJC you need to stop with “post a comment” crap! Not cool.

I am a big fan of Free Speech just as long as you speak freely about the things I like, and under no circumstances, should we be able to use irony, satire, wit, candor. You should not have the right to speak unkindly, or say hurtful, or hateful things. There should be some sort of filter to halt any speech that is offensive. fecesciously
But who gets to decide? Rev. Jim, what are you mixing into the Kool-Aid? And when is the next book burning (I mean bon-fire)?

I’m all for free speech, but don’t you think it’s so pathetic to spew venon on an anonymous message board? But hey, if that’s your thing, let your conscience be your guide. We’re judging the decisions that teenagers make about colleges YOU couldn’t get in, when we have an 80 year old presidential candidate who chose a self-proclaimed soccer mom to sucker woman voters, to be our president when he dies? I have not changed my posting name since it was North Ave. Nancy Boys (3 month ago?), and Ted Turner for a few posts last Spring.
Colleges I couldn’t get in? I was accepted to every college/university I ever applied. I am a graduate of UGA (AB’91), GaState (MA’95), and attended graduate school (and graduated from) Emory University ‘98. Jealous much?
Lastly, what in the hell does McCain/Palin have to do with ALABAMA recruits? You are an idiot … Rev. Jim please give this sissy some Kool-Aid! I bet you like Terrence Moore!
