Georgia Tech may offer Fitzgerald’s Jemea Thomas

Fitzgerald’s Jemea Thomas is certainly one of the state’s best unknown all-around players, but college recruiters know plenty about him. The 5-10, 185-pound Thomas has been offered scholarships by Purdue, Vanderbilt, Troy, Middle Tennessee State and Western Kentucky.

“I think Georgia Tech is about to offer him, too,” said Fitzgerald coach Robby Pruitt. “He is really strong — I mean he benches almost twice his weight and is really, really quick.”

Most colleges project Thomas as a running back even though he primarily works as a free safety for the Class AAA No. 5 Purple Hurricanes.

I would trust PJ to go after anyone. The players who do come to Tech will find it a fun place and to boot the best academics in GEORGIA. SO Mr Thomas if PJ offers come on down to the best and not second best.

I live 23 miles form Fitzgerald and go to as many GT games as possible. I have watched Jemea play this year and he is a very good player. I really hope GT signs the kid .He will love playing for Paul.

GT fan, “I go to as many GT games as possible.” Why? I mean it would be like wanting to go to the dentist. Oh, I get it! You are a masochist? Or are you cruising for that hot Red Dot special they have downtown on campus — yeah, that’s it. Different than Fitzgerald isn’t it? I mean a lot can happen in a big city!

Come on out of the closet GT fans. The city too busy to hate is more accepting now.

Come to Tech cause with Paul Johnson as head coach Georgia Tech will be a national notarized team real soon. I say that because when Coach Johnson starts recruiting his own players and build the team like he wants it they would be a tough team to handle.

Go Yellow Jackets!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’m from Fitzgerald, went to GT and live in ATL now. Jemea is the perfect A-back fit for PJ. He’s quick, shifty, fast and as Fitzy’s coach (who’s awesome as well) said - he’s very strong. Fitzgerald has won the state weight lifting championship for the past 4-5 years, and that’s regardless of classification. Very impressive. And speaking of classification, Fitzy’s a AA team not AAA.

Come on Jemea!!!! Go TECH!!!!

Jemea just pick the school that offers you the best opportunity for your future and where you feel happy. All that being said, I do hope you will consider TECH if we do make an offer.

I’ve seen this guy play and the best way to describe him is that he is a Garrison Hearst clone. If you saw Hearst in HS, then all you have to do is project him forward. If UGA doesn’t at least take a look, they are making a mistake - I don’t care how many scholarships they think they need to save.

I live in Fitzgerald I’am a Georgia Tech fan, and I see him at school and practice everyday. he is very good to get alone with, a good personality, very good reading a pass and run, HE WILL DEFINETLY HIT YOU!!!!!!!!!,and thats why he would mostly help tech on defense in the pass and run but he would help at the a-back position too. TO SUM IT UP JEMEA IS A ALL-AROUND PLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jamea is a great choice if your looking a student and ball player, he’s got a head on his shoulders, and has plenty of potential all he needs is the chance to show YOU……… but on the other hand, hes and awsome hitter, that man hits ppl like a ton of bricks, just ask the receivers that have had to get up after one.. lol and as for the offence, if you want a tough lil tank to get you that 1st down or touchdow let him be the one you put your trust in!!!

From big cuzzin Curtis, go Jamea, where ever you go is cool with me!!
