Parkview’s Jacobs, an Auburn commitment, catches fire
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

When Parkview running back Brandon Jacobs managed only 81 yards rushing in the Panthers’ 30-9 season-opening loss to Collins Hill, he could have gotten disheartened.
But by running for a game-high three touchdowns and 190 yards in the Panthers’ 49-12 rout of Chattahoochee, he catapulted himself toward his 881 yards and seven touchdowns of last season. In fact, his bruising performance against the Cougars spurred teammate TaRon Squires to similar heights of 150 yards and two scores and enabled the Panthers to score in every quarter.
“I read my blocks really well and made some really good cuts,” said Jacobs, a member of the AJC’s The Georgia 150 team and ranked No. 65 in Georgia by Rivals.com. “[Our offensive linemen] adjusted well to Chattahoochee’s defense, and I did, too.”
Jacobs has committed to Auburn.

Oh well, we’ll have to make due with Knowshown Moreno. And after he bolts to the NFL (after he wins the Heisman and National Championship — which he will win both — this year or next) Caleb King & Richard Samuel will have to do. Washaun Ealy will have to step it up a notch too, but after a redshirt year of course.
I think we’re in good shape! So go to the Athens wanna-be … the prop-town, movie set replica of Athens Tubbyvile kind of looks like Richt if you squint your eyes reeeaaallllll tight (and have a good imagination). Unfortunately, SIDEBURN U is in Alabama — downstream from Atlanta. Just think, by the time we’re finished with your water, if we leave you any, we’ve sent along a few gifts (pee-pee & poo-poo). DRINK UP ALABAMA!

Oh, if he is prone to “Catch Fire” as the AJC suggests, should you get near him? I mean spontaneous combustion is dangerous! I don’t want to have to stop, drop, and roll just because I tackled him … or worse, some kid asks for an autograph and flame on Johnny Storm’s in town. I think he should see a doctor, or at least carry a fire extinguisher with him. I’m concerned for the public!
