Ridgeland’s Michael Bowman misses UGA game

Ridgeland wide receiver Michael Bowman said he wasn’t able to make Saturday’s Georgia game because his ride canceled.
“It was disappointing but I’ll be back up there soon enough,” Bowman said.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound is hoping to commit to Georgia. He said the Bulldogs have promised a scholarship, providing he raises his test scores. Bowman is also being recruited heavily by Alabama and LSU.
Bowman is a member of the AJC’s The Super Southern 100. He caught five passes for 25 yards in Friday’s loss to Ridgeland.

As I posted the other day - I do not know much about Bowman expept for the clips I’ve read - sounds like a talent.
And it is dangerous to form opinions based only on how stories are reported.
But I see red flags: 1. Why would he want to go talk to Mark Richt about accepting his committment if UGA told him they would offer after he his raised grades and test scores?
I did not realize that this was a negotiation.
Sounds as if the kid is lacking some direction and leadership at the home and school front.
Hate to say it - sounds like a elite athlete that has always got his way - so why should this be andy different?
Does anyone else see issues here?
