Road Trip: Brookwood OT returns to the Georgia Dome

A week after Brookwood dropped a 14-9 decision to Walton in the Corky Kell Classic, Broncos offensive lineman Kellen Williams returns to the Georgia Dome for one of college football’s most-anticipated early season contests.
The 6-foot-5 288 pound lineman and his family plan to make a long weekend out of Saturday evening’s clash between Alabama and Clemson.
“My parents rented an RV,” said Williams, who committed to the Crimson Tide in April. “They’ll take it to the parking lot on Friday and we’ll stay there in the RV after the game on Saturday.
“This is a neutral site. But I bought a ticket and will enjoy the game.”
He hopes to bump into one of his future teammates during the weekend’s festivities.
“William Ming [an Alabama commit from Athens, Ala.] is coming to the game,” Williams said. “I’ll call him up and meet him down there.”
Williams, the 32nd-best offensive tackle in the nation according to Scout.com, said his commitment has done little to slow the recruiting efforts of other colleges.
“Central Florida is still really hard on my case, and so is Ole Miss,” said Williams, who will likely attend all of Alabama’s home games this season. “These guys don’t give up until signing day.
“But like I told everybody, I’m very solid in my recruiting. The only official visit for me will be to Alabama.”
