Tech recruits don’t mention Jackets during interview

Georgia Tech is recruiting Dominique Allen and Marsalis Teague of Henry County High in Paris, Tenn., but neither mentioned Tech in an article Monday by Tom Kreager of the Nashville Tennessean newspaper.

Allen has committed to Tennessee but appears to be re-considering after a visit to LSU. Tech sees him as a B-Back. Tech is recruiting Teague as a cornerback.

What an insightful report today by Mr. Holcomb.

I guess he didn’t notice that the only school that was mentioned by either of the recruits was LSU. Also, LSU was mentioned by Allen who is currently committed to Tennessee. I wonder is the Knoxville paper ran a story today that said “Tennesse recruits don’t metion Vols during interview.”

I’m sure that GT has recruited alot of players that have committed to other schools, that don’t ever mention GT anymore. Is this really news????

DA and MT just had another press conference this morning. In their press conference neither mentioned any school in Idaho or New Mexico. They went even so far as not to mention Colorado School of Mines or Scripps Mudd. There were no questions from the media about these schools not being mentioned. Word leaked out from both sets of parents that the two future stars will enroll early in college at Wichita State U, which dropped football 10 years ago. I am told they will red-shirt.

Chase Vasser’s (2009 UGA recruit) press release re-stated that he WILL NOT attend any Youngstown State U. football games this fall. He has asked the media to refrain from asking this question ever again. He hopes they will respect his and his family’s privacy over this delicate matter. He will attend every game of every team that posts its start time in military time. Next update 19:00 hours.

If I was being recruited by Tech, I wouldn’t mention it either. Thanks for pointing that out Todd.

Mr. Holcomb;

I would ask you to tell us the purpose of this particular blog? Did these young men also omit mentioning the University of Georgia, Auburn University, and the University of Florida from their interview as well?

If not, then why wasn’t that also included in your header other than to incite the UGA fans or embarrass GA Tech fans.

This type of reporting is what has caused more controversy than has been necessary with your paper and I suggest that it has also led to a loss in your subscriptions.

Believe it or not, genuine UGA fans as well as GA Tech fans enjoy a spirited debate about their respective programs but have no time for drivel like yours.
