Tech QB Shaw facing future competition from baby brother?
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution
Categories
Flowery Branch junior quarterback Connor Shaw has an early scholarship offer from Georgia Tech, where he could wind up competing for playing time with his brother, Jaybo, who’s No. 2 on the depth chart as a true freshman.
”They did it here,” said Flowery Branch head coach Lee Shaw, the father of the quarterbacks. “If Connor gets to Tech, I don’t know what he’ll wind up going as, maybe as an athlete, but at Georgia Tech, those athletes play quarterback in that system, so I’m not sure where they’ll end up slotting him. But I do know they like him as an option quarterback.”
Connor, who has not made a college decision, caught 59 passes for 1,086 yards and 13 touchdowns last season with his big brother making the throws to him at wide receiver.
Lee Shaw didn’t hide the fact that he’d love to see both sons at Tech.
”It’s pretty neat seeing one play at Georgia Tech and another with an offer at Georgia Tech, and their dream has always been to play college football together,” Lee said. “I know as a dad, it sure would be a lot easier on me. To be able to coach football on Friday night and watch them play on a Saturday would be a blessing that’s indescribable.”

It will be great for Tech. Building a newe system with athletes who want to play for Tech. Brilliant. Hope it happens.

It will even be better for Georgia……Because with Tech building their program around players that want to play for Tech….. instead of players who want to play at the best school and not just at the place where they can get playing time…

Apparently UGA fans cannot figure out how to use the computer as they post the same message three times! Lovely!

RDaws - Let me help you out. You click on the “Post” button ONCE. When it says, “Please wait” you do just that - WAIT. You don’t keep pressing “Post”.
I know you UGA guys need all the help you can get so I just thought I would lend a hand.

The truth is this: Jaybo Shaw was going to a small school before Paul Johnson came along…he was not invited to an ACC or SEC school. He’s also a hot head much like Reggie…don’t put all your stock in Jaybo…trust me I have seen him play, it’s not that good

I always feel better about myself whenever I read the stupid, petty and classless post on the college football sites on the ajc.

What I don’t understand is why tech fans continue to stay on that side…I mean don’t the beatings year after year get old? Other than the occasional pop up year tech is lower tier in college football yet you continue to hope. I sort of get the fan support thing but every year my tech friends seem as if “this is the year” every year and then about halfway through they are looking for basketball season. Not only that we get you in your own sport of basketball…then baseball. not really a tech hater just don’t understand the thinking

To: Mr. Jill Benkins…Why should it matter to you about Jaybo Shaw. He’s not on your team. Besides, it’s a different team and a different coach. From what I’ve read, Paul Johnson can handle things and has things much more under control than YOUR coach. Is your coach going to be able to even field a team with most of them in jail or suspended?? Also, what SIDE are you talking about? GA Tech has plenty of loyal fans and they are happy to be on THAT side. You have “Tech Friends” or even ANY friends??? Well, they are lying to you…

Observer’s posts were 5 minutes a part. One of you idiots used the same name and copied his first post to make him look like a fool.

quote from Bill Jenkins: “just don’t understand the thinking”. Well, duh. You’re a UGA fan. Understanding and thinking are 2 completely foreign terms to you.

Jenkins,
You have the mental capacity of an inch-worm. Your toothless cousin/wife told us you also have a body part in common with the, ahem, inch-worm. No wonder you are so unhappy…

R Daws and Bill Jenkins have nothing better to do than troll an AJC Tech Blog. I guess all that National Championship hype is getting boring already. Also, it’s pretty low class to bust on a true freshman who has yet to take a snap. But then again, UGAy fans never cease to amaze me.
