Westlake OL Warmack still solid on ‘Bama … for now

Westlake offensive tackle Chance Warmack says he is sticking by his verbal commitment to Alabama, made several weeks ago.
But that hasn’t stopped the recruiting calls, and Warmack, an AJC Georgia 150 selectee, is listening.
“For the most part, it’s still all about Alabama for me, but I’m keeping my options open,” said Warmack (6-foot-4, 320 pounds). “[Schools] are still calling, except for Auburn. They’re pretty mad at me.”
Warmack said he will take three official visits at some point, although he won’t say where those visits will be. He said his focus is on adapting to the school’s new coaching staff.
“I really like my coaches,” Warmack said. “They are really staying on me, trying to make me better.”

I’m surprised that the Tubb stop recruiting this kid because he committed to BAMA. Usually the lowlife scum Tubbyvile only recruits other schools commits. Wonders never cease!

Yeller, a player is not committed until he signs the letter of intent. Therefore, every school should continue to recruit the kids. The kid has only given a verbal.

The key word is commitment. not verbal. I have never heard that Saban ever pressured any kid to commit before he’s ready. That’s probably why he doesn’t lose many. I understand why a kid wants to take his official visits and that certainly puts him at some risk but, the Bama campus and facilities stack up well against everyone else so, bring it on.

Maybe Saban doesn’t lose many because other teams are not willing to meet the asking price. Not that that would be the case with this kid - but there are lots of rumors floating around Alabama regarding Summer jobs, etc.
