FSU commit Demps willing to listen to other schools

Lowndes safety Gerald Demps is surprised he has dropped off the recruiting radar since committing to Florida State last spring.
“Yeah, I haven’t heard from anybody, not even Georgia … I’m very surprised,” said Demps, a member of the AJC’s Georgia Top 150
Would Demps consider other schools? “I’m solid in my decision … [but] I would hear anybody out. I wouldn’t say it would be wasting their time to talk with me. Anything can change; anything can happen.”
Demps said he picked FSU because he has been a lifelong fan of the Seminoles. He did not attend any camps during the summer, rather focusing on working out with his high school teammates.

Dang .. ever since me and my fiance got engaged it seems all the other girls have quit calling me and giving me the eye. I am very surprised. I didn’t expect that to happen. Can’t I have my cake and eat it too?

Unfortunately it sounds like this young man is hoping to commit to UGA in lieu of FSU but Georgia will have a small recruiting class this year compared to their typical year and they just are not interested in folks not on their “wish list”. Knowing FSU is certainly in a decline and that Bowden will be gone before this young man ever plays for FSU (in a two plus years) is likely his reason for second guessing.
BTW…UGA loses three this year so get ready for the let down. See you in JAX mutts.
