DEL.ICIO.USUGA to offer Gainesville junior receiver Jones?

The next scholarship offer to come out of Athens could contain the name of Gainesville junior Tailer Jones.
The 6-foot, 170-pound receiver said Georgia is one of a handful of schools actively recruiting him.
“I’m hearing from Georgia, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Clemson and Virginia Tech,” said Jones, who recently transferred from Roswell to Gainesville.
“And Florida has started sending me letters. And I’m hearing from Notre Dame.”
Jones, the son of former NFL player Andre Jones, believes he is on the verge of an offer from the Bulldogs.
“I’d say Georgia [is close to offering], and possibly South Carolina,” he said. “But it’s still really early for me with South Carolina. They’ll probably wait until halfway through the season to watch me play more.”
Jones was impressed with Georgia’s class of 2009 quarterback commits Aaron Murray and Zach Mettenberger during a camp he attended in Athens on July 18.
“They remove all doubt when you see them play,” he said. “They don’t miss. Everything is perfect.
“I would have either one of them as my quarterback. That would be great.”
